Cambodia: Government to Showcase TVET Students’ Technical Skills at 2026 Training Conference

Cambodia to showcase TVET students’ technical skills at the 2026 training conference, featuring robotics, EV repair, coding, drones, and 45 skill areas.

The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training in Cambodia is set to showcase the technical capabilities of its students at the 9th Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Conference 2026, scheduled for June 15–16.

The event will feature live demonstrations aimed at highlighting the practical skills, innovation, and industry readiness of TVET students across multiple sectors.

Focus on Vehicle Repair and EV Technology in Cambodia

One of the major highlights of the conference will be vehicle repair demonstrations. Students will present their hands-on expertise in repairing a wide range of vehicles, including modern cars and electric vehicles (EVs).

The exhibition will include well-known automobile brands such as Ford, BYD, Toyota, and others. However, the main focus will be on demonstrating students’ technical competence and real-world skills.

Cambodia Showcases Innovation in Coding, Robotics, and Communication

Alongside mechanical skills, the conference will highlight advanced technological innovations. TVET students will demonstrate coding systems for radio communication that can function even without traditional network connectivity.

Other innovations include:

  • Air-quality monitoring devices to detect pollution levels
  • Environmental risk detection systems
  • Robotics and automation technologies

These projects reflect the growing importance of digital and technical education in Cambodia’s workforce development.

Industrial Technology and Large-Scale 3D Printing

A key attraction will be a large-scale 3D printer, measuring over one meter. This technology is essential for industrial production, allowing accurate design verification and product development.

Its inclusion highlights the expanding role of vocational education in Cambodia’s industrial growth.

Drones, HVAC, and Hospitality Skills in Focus

The conference will also feature:

  • * Drone design and production
  • * Air-conditioning and pollution detection systems
  • * Food production and hospitality services

This wide range of skills demonstrates the diversity and practical relevance of TVET programs in Cambodia.

45 Skills Across 10 Key Sectors

In total, the event will showcase up to 45 different skills across 10 sectors. The initiative aims to demonstrate the progress of vocational training and the readiness of students to meet industry demands.

Strengthening Cambodia’s Skilled Workforce

Officials say the conference reflects Cambodia’s commitment to strengthening technical education and building a skilled, self-reliant workforce for the future.

The TVET Conference 2026 is expected to play a significant role in promoting innovation, skills development, and employment opportunities nationwide.
